Experienced live and studio drummer I've played and taught drums for 35 years + inc. teaching

I began my musical life as a violinist with piano, gained a music scholarship to Cranbrook School in Kent and after my A levels took up playing the drums full time. Since then I have played for hundreds of individual artists and bands including pit orchestras for shows, charity events, and pantomimes. Along with a string of recordings in the studio and as a live performer, I gained a huge amount of experience over three decades. My recording and gigging history includes work with Somatic, Honeyhead, the Gringos, Vic Hyland, Freebird, Grant Tunbridge, Nigel Bagge, John Cleary, The John Lawton band, The Hensley Lawton Band, Geoff Aitchison, The Tangle Brothers (80s band) and many others. I also toured with both John Lawton and Ken Hensley extensively in Europe in the late 90s and early 2000s. I have good gear, own transport, and a great sound. My experience also covers all the main styles of playing and I have been very lucky to play with some fantastic players. I am extremely good at being able to recognise what is required as a session drummer and to interpret other people's music intelligently and creatively, and my overall knowledge of music and recording techniques is sound.
