Julia is classically trained, having completed her studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London where she gained a Bachelor of Music with Honours and a Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction. She has performed at some of the top concert halls in the UK including The Royal Albert Hall and has performed at the Proms with the BBC Symphony Orchestra but she has always had a passion for indie music. Her first taste of performing with a jazz band came when she was just 10 years old and the feeling of freedom that came with playing modern music never left her.
What makes her performances so unique is her ability to arrange her own music which enables her to layer various parts on top of each other to create her own music videos and recreate popular songs.

I love playing at Festivals but also the intimacy of a wedding or private event. I love a,I f that connection with the audience and seeing people enjoy themselves.
This setup came about ring Covid times when performing stopped. I wanted to find a way to keep in practise and keep myself inspired while still playing the music I love. It all started with an Oasis track! I out that out on social media and it got such a good reception and caught people’s attention that I built it up from there!
I mean…I love my Indie!
I aim to arrive at least an hour before my start time to meet with the venue and set up.
No. My violin cannot be in direct sunlight or rain and with the electrics that I use, I prefer to stay inside. If guests are outside and there is a big window space, this would be a good option to place me.
I have set lists for corporate events/parties but for wedding ceremonies, clients can choose their songs from my repertoire list.
