I am a Highland Piper based in South East England, and have been performing with my Bagpipes at various events since the tender age of 10. I started to learn the Bagpipes back in 1978 and 1st performed a nervous solo at a wedding at Aylesford church in Kent. I am the Pipe Sergeant within the City Of Rochester Pipe Band.
When I was 7, my dad formed a band with some ex forces friends. The Pipe Major wore a sword and I wanted one.. he said “if you learn the Bagpipes laddie, you can have a sword”... the rest is history !...... my personal favourite tune is Banjo Breakdown.... I love to speed up at the end.
I have an extensive repertoire from Scotland the Brave to Star Wars... I can also learn specific tunes with enough notice .... I also have a selection of Irish tunes.
