Andy (King Konga) is a trained percussionist who has been playing professionally for over 25 years. He has a wealth of experience playing live percussion with international DJs, bands and artists including Todd Terry, Pixie Lott, and Café Mambo.
Whether it’s improvising alongside a DJ or playing his own self-contained solo DJ Percussions shows, Andy always adds the wow factor to any event and delivers a slick and professional performance. As well as playing one of his spectacular signature-sparkle percussion set ups, Andy is also able to go out on to the dancefloor and interact with the crowd with his roaming djembe drum for a fully interactive experience!
He is available to play live percussion either alongside your chosen DJ, as part of his DJ live band, or his self-contained solo DJ Percussion show. He can play along with any style of music adding a live element and creating that unmistakable party atmosphere at your event; bringing all the energy of a live band – but with the almost unlimited playlist of a DJ.

Biography
Andy began playing drums and percussion at the age of 11 and was classically trained in all forms of percussion. Over recent years Andy has worked alongside internationally renowned DJs including Todd Terry; the godfather of UK House and Garage Grant Nelson; Jason Bye, Danny O and Ridney (Cafe Mambo residents); renowned DJ and producers including Richard Earnshaw, Russell Small (Freemasons), Steve Taylor (iCulture), Kevin McKay (Glasgow Underground), Moodena (Tropical Disco records), Grant Richards (Kinky Malinki). Andy has played at a number of Café Mambo events.
As well as playing with DJs, Andy’s versatile percussion skills have enabled him to play for a wide and diverse variety of international artists including PIXIE LOTT (artist and coach on ITV’s “the Voice Kids”), Eddie Manion (Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band), Miss Emily (Canadian singer songwriter), Shahab Tiam (Iranian pop star), Diane Shaw (UK Soul artist) and Lew Kirton (Drummer for the legendary soul band Sam and Dave and soul singer), and UK Bhangra artist Surj Sahota.
