Klezmer Kafé is a band born in Portugal that mastered the traditional worldwide music. Their repertoire will bring you melodies since the ancestral times till the newest arrangements, bringing richness to the listeners ears.
Since the creation of the band in 2024, Klezmer Kafé was heard in festivals such as Open City Aveiro and Festival Allegro in Guimarães. They opened the ceremony concerts of Easter in Vila Nova de Famalicão, performed in the Saint Bento festivals in Vila Real, played in the halls Café-Concerto Francisco Beja in Porto, and Casa da Juventude in Vila Nova de Famalicão.
The members of the band are: Pedro Marques, violetist and violinist; José Pereira, cellist; Gaspar Macedo, pianist; Andrea Agra, percussionist; and Diogo Costa, trumpetist and trombonist. They all have experience all over the world playing in competitions, orchestras and solo.
The repertoire consists in a long range of traditional european music, mostly Portuguese and Galician, and lots of klezmer music and fado.
