My name is Kt Lay and I've been a full-time gigging musician for over a decade! I play songs from the 50s to what's coming out now and I love taking requests! I have an extensive repertoire and can play for hours without a break. Whether the crowd needs high energy or more of a low-key vibe, I have plenty of songs for a full set of each.
My basic needs are electricity and Wi-Fi if available
I need to know if there is a house system I will be required to plug into, if there is a special parking situation and where to load and unload.
I bring all of my own PA system, but I do not have lighting
yes, I can provide music through a streaming platform before and between my sets
The best gig I ever did was when I was leaving my hometown, after I was done with my set (and went well over the three hours and into the night long after the bar was technically closed) I was standing on the bar, and the patrons that were left were singing piano man to me.
The best venue I ever worked at was a small bar in Dayville Connecticut. It was a hole in the wall, but I grew a very supportive fan base quickly, and that was the first place I realized people listen to my originals because they were singing along.
I almost cried both times.

I have over a decade of experience and I started gigging because I took a chance on myself after a night winning a karaoke contest. I started out with only a floor amp and worked my way up to two powered speakers, fun pedals, and instruments for the crowd to play along with.
Growing up, Mariah Carey was my entire reason for being a singer. I have since been influenced by bands like Dashboard Confessional, Noah Kahan, Donovan Woods, and most recently, The Kid Laroi. If I could choose the greatest song of all time, I wouldn’t have random music notes around my wrist 🤣
I only need an hour to set up and build a unique set list, typically I play for 3 to 4 hours with one or no breaks.
I am happy to play literally anywhere.
Clients absolutely have a say in what I play, I love taking requests on the spot and if given enough time prior to the gig, I can also try to learn anything!
The comment I get the most is that “ you’re the best performer that’s ever been here”. I don’t know how true that is, but I’m happy to receive the compliment :)
