“Manipura” is a project created by Larissa Jones in 2023 which is known for a mixed fusion of Brazilian music styles
such as Brega-rock, MPB, progressive rock and forró. Inspired by a rich tradition of the Brazilian tropical era in the 70's but nowadays has its unique sonority. It's an authentic performative approach with the public that builds the strength for this musical experience. We need a performance space with energy power at least 8 meters x 5 meters. Amp power. Parking space .
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig."
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
We performed in the Historical Mercado Municipal of Coimbra one of the oldest supermarkets in Coimbra, Portugal. We’ve done one big concert at Festival Solidário of Castelo Branco which was amazing experience.
We love playing at all sorts of events but weddings and private events are our favourite! The guests are always happy and it’s easy to get them dancing.
I started singing 10 years ago as a professional because I used to work as an event director and that inspire me to build my own career and never stopped. Manipura was born because I want to bring as many people to this amazing music career with me.

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area
We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them
Previous customers would describe us as a high energy group that loves to get the audience on their feet dancing. The Brazilians never stop.
