1. Introduction
I'm Ricky Castillo, and I’m looking forward to performing at your event. To ensure a smooth and memorable performance, I’ve outlined the technical and logistical requirements below. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
2. Equipment
Since I’ll be providing the audio setup, you don't need to worry about the bulk of the equipment. However, a few essential needs will help optimize the performance.
2.1 Performance Space
A stable and clear performance space, preferably raised if the event has a larger audience, to ensure visibility.
The area should be free from interference, like heavy foot traffic or proximity to noisy elements (e.g., kitchens or public pathways).
3. Power Supply & Connectivity
At least two grounded power outlets near the performance space for my audio equipment.
Reliable Wi-Fi or internet connection, if your venue has it. This might be useful for any last-minute needs or adjustments.
4. Ambient Requirements
4.1 Lighting
Even if it's a daytime event, having adequate lighting in the performance area is essential. Soft lighting or spotlights that can illuminate the performance space will enhance the experience.
5. Dressing Room & Amenities
Access to a clean restroom.
Refreshments, preferably bottled water, would be appreciated.
6. Parking & Accessibility
Reserved parking space close to the venue, ensuring smooth loading and unloading of the audio equipment.
If the event location isn't on the ground floor, an elevator or ramp for equipment transport would be needed.
7. Set Up & Sound Check
I would need access to the venue at least 1 hour before the event to set up the audio equipment and conduct a sound check. This ensures the best audio experience for your guests.
8. Safety
The performance and equipment space should adhere to safety standards, ensuring there are no exposed wires or tripping hazards.
It's crucial to maintain a smoke-free environment around the performance and equipment areas.
9. Communication
A point of contact on the event day who can assist with any logistical or technical questions would be very beneficial.
10. Duration & Breaks
Please confirm the expected duration of the performance. If it's more than 90 minutes, a short break in between sets would be ideal.
