The prestigious Veronica Tynes aka “LayDee Vee”, began to grace the world with her gift of voice at the tender age of 9.
It was during her young adult time that the highly blessed young Veronica began singing lead for the well received and immensely broadcasted televised production “God’s Trombone”, directed by none other than thee Walter Borden.
LayDee Vee’s esteemed performance was only the start of many breath taking spotlights.
Marching forward, LayDee Vee has illuminated the stage alongside legendary greats Cissy Houston, The Winans and The Barrett Sisters, to name a few, as a soloist with the nationally renowned Nova Scotia Mass Choir.
Her noteworthy resume doesn’t slow there! LayDee Vee’s infamous ability to rock and swoon and blow the roof off took her across the Canadian border to Washington, D.C. where once again her astounding voice lead the way at the Martin Luther King memorial, sharing the historical moment with the one and only Shirley Caesar and the late great Billy Preston.
Again, rising higher than ever expected, LayDee Vee easily secured being cast in the Halifax production of the hit stage play “Little Shop of Horrors”; performing inside the reputable Neptune Theatre.
Hard work and success continued for LayDee Vee as the front and lead singer in a groove jiving 9-piece band called ‘Profile’.
Singing her way to the top, Veronica embodies hard work, determination and the sound of our era with ease and utmost appeal.

It would be only a matter of time before the insatiable beauty migrated to Toronto where the red carpets were ablaze with her presence and talented tenure. Opening for exhilarating acts like Tarrus Riley, Luciano and Jimmy Reid. Never stopping, always rising...in comes LayDee Vee’s leading praised with the popular band ‘Something Extra’ where yet again her undeniably mesmerizing skills and performances moved crowd after crowd for close to a decade.
Now, as the essential vocalist on Canada’s renowned 70’s & 80’s tribute show “Legends of Soul” and also her very own RnB/Soul/Reggae band, LayDee Vee is still moving audiences with her current band lead by musical director, Wyz Malcolm and The Sound. This leaves you time to get familiar - if you haven’t already.
Releasing her first solo project independently with Dennis Nieves of D-Menace Music the Writer/ Producer/ engineer of this EP. Along with her production coordinator, country’s well known DJ Marlon Mack of Keysound Productions, Wyz Malcolm (Music Arranger). With reggae music always her passion from a young adult, this songstress released, in November 2022, a song with international reggae artist, Sizzla Kalonji titled “ Style of your Stars, produced by Altafaan Recirds and her own corporation VCJ Productions. This song introduces her daughter Quezi Bey, who not only sang on this masterpiece, but co-wrote as well! Reggae artist Inoah, also blessing her with his artistry, as a feature on this project. The empowerment of her single NO TIME FOR YOU will surely show you where this seasoned female vocalist is headed!
