Venue providing basic space for keyboard, EV P.A. System, standard power source.
Does the venue have own sound system, information as to specific time when to load equipment and where to park.
I have my own EV sound system/mixer, mic. Depending on venue, lighting, if needed and if available would be welcome, depending on event. For example, it will vary, wedding, corporate event, pub setting, private party/entertainment.
Own playlist and genres of music can be provided before and between sets. WiFi access would be appreciated.
I took Royal Conservatory up to grade 8 in piano. I took 2 years of classical guitar, then self-taught, as well vocally. I can sight-read and play by ear.
A year of professional travel, Cast E Up With People, 1986. In business for myself there after over 20 years to current.
All. Corporate/private, and Acoustic. Big venue is always good, but smaller intimate settings are one of my favorite events. I’m open and enjoy all challenges.
As stated, early exposure to a professional Cast at the age of 21 for a whole year, 1986. Travelled the world, many countries, toured with a cast consisting of dancers, singers and a band with bass player, guitarists, keyboard players and a full horn section. Professional 2 hour show. Then when I returned, I played gigs over the years, then performed majority of following years as a solo act.
Prince, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Luther Vandross, Janet Jackson, Amanda Marshall, Elton John, Take 6, Manhattan Transfer. All songs if arranged or performed well in my opinion, are signature in their own right. That’s a subjective question. Just saying.
Subjective
I turn 60 years old this June 1st, 2025. My passion and drive to present and perform for audiences at this stage of my life is to play music and really connect with the audience. My prayer is not only to earn income but to represent a level of professionalism and class, while be relatable and connect with the people. Music for music. From the heart at the core of everything.
Preferably two hours before, to allow any changes or trouble-shooting for set-up. Sound check well before audience arrives. Usually 2 hour sets, flexible to the request of the event. Negotiable. Each venue is different. I try to customize and work with the event planner.
Most definitely. Preferably a shade, flat surface, and power source close to the platform.
Mostly set repertoire. Again, depends on the venue. Negotiable.
Vocally, smooth tonality; versatile on genre and commendable I can accompany myself and sing.
At 60 yrs old this year, 2025, I’d like to leave an impression that age is just a number. But a song performed from the heart is priceless.
To be able to emote and connect with even just one person, to invoke feelings and reflection is by far my greatest achievement next to being paid. Life is short. Making connections and leaving legacy is important to me. More importantly, leaving a positive impact? I’ve done my job.
