Lorraine and the Flames is a remarkable ensemble, seamlessly blending the elegance of jazz with a Celtic twist. Their lineup, featuring the soulful and captivating Lorraine Heavey on vocals, delivers an unforgettable performance, balancing technical mastery with raw emotion.
The band's skilled instrumentation displays Pete Roth's smooth guitar melodies, lively double bass grooves from Mike Pratt, Rob Webb's tasteful piano harmonies, energetic percussion from John E Martin, and Lorraine's expressive vocals tying it all together. Each band member is a virtuoso in their own right, yet their chemistry as a unit is what truly sets them apart. They seamlessly transition from upbeat swing numbers to sultry ballads, keeping the audience engaged with a delightful exploration of The Great American Songbook’s timeless classics from legendary composers such as Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart, Ira and George Gershwin and some contemporary numbers.
What makes Lorraine and the Flames particularly special is their ability to connect with the crowd. Their performances are not just concerts, they are experiences filled with a genuine love for jazz. Whether performing in an intimate jazz club or at a larger festival, their energy is infectious, and their artistry is undeniable.
This sophisticated band is also perfect for dining audiences, receptions, corporate and private events and special occasions.
