Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

One of the highlights of my career was performing at the "La Ballena Azul" auditorium within the Centro Cultural Kirchner in Buenos Aires. I had the honor of playing to an audience of 1,800 people in this venue, renowned for its exceptional acoustics and architectural design.

What's your favourite type of event?

I adapt easily to all types of events and enjoy working both solo and with other musicians. However, I perform best when the technical conditions and event environment are optimal for my performance.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I began performing live in 1988, accumulating 36 years of experience as a pianist, singer, and pianist-singer. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of performing at various venues and events, both solo and alongside other musicians in ensembles and orchestras.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Throughout my career, I have been deeply influenced by a wide range of popular music from the late 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. Genres such as ragtime, bossa nova, swing, and tango have each left an indelible mark on my artistic expression. My influences span from the structural complexity of Johann Sebastian Bach to the innovative fusion found in the works of Egberto Gismonti. This rich tapestry of influences has enriched my musical approach, allowing me to integrate elements from diverse traditions and eras into my performances and compositions.

Why should we hire you?

Because I have a genuine passion for music—it’s not just another job, it’s an emotional commitment. My professionalism and extensive career in the musical field, spanning a wide range of genres, further support my expertise. I can perform solo on piano and voice, or be accompanied by bands of musicians in various formats. For me, music is not only a passion but a way of life.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

As a solo performer, my setup time typically ranges from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the complexity of the equipment and the specific requirements of the venue. For instance, setting up my keyboard, microphone, and associated gear usually takes about 20 minutes. Foros Music Player I aim to arrive at the venue at least 90 minutes before the performance to ensure ample time for setup, sound checks, and any unforeseen adjustments.
When collaborating with additional musicians, I require more time for setup to ensure a seamless performance. For ensembles with 3 to 4 members, the setup typically takes approximately 45 minutes. Larger groups may need between 1 to 1.5 hours for proper preparation.
Evenses
This allows adequate time for sound checks, equipment adjustments, and coordination among performers. It's advisable to discuss specific requirements in advance to ensure a smooth and successful event.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, I'm happy to perform outdoors. I enjoy the unique atmosphere that outdoor venues offer and I've played at various outdoor events before. However, I always ensure that the technical setup—such as sound, power, and weather-related considerations—is properly arranged to guarantee a smooth performance.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I maintain a curated set list as the foundation of my performance, but I’m always open to client suggestions. I believe in a collaborative approach—tailoring the music to the event’s atmosphere to ensure it resonates perfectly with the audience.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

My previous clients have consistently described my performances as engaging, professional, and deeply immersive. They frequently highlight the smooth flow of the set list, the dynamic energy I bring to each event, and the personalized touch that tailors the music to the atmosphere of the occasion. My style varies considerably depending on the genre I'm performing; some genres are very emotional and sentimental, evoking strong feelings in the audience, while other repertoires are more upbeat and joyful, perfectly matching the celebratory mood of the event.
