Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, artist and storyteller.
Pepito & The Trash Cans
A bilingual, musical story about a boy in Bolivia who longs to play music, yet, he must face scarcity and misfortune to fulfill his dream. Pepito finally overcomes by making his own instruments out of bottles, cans and other repurposed materials. Luke plays music throughout the story on homemade instruments. This inspirational story includes original songs and spoken word poetry.
There is a 45, and 60-minute version for schools, libraries and younger audiences and a 90-minute version for theaters, festivals and other venues. Loved by both kids and adults.
Instrumental 432 Hz Music
Luke brings a variety of instruments from around the world, homemade instruments along with a loop station that allows him to loop each instrument live. The audience will hear melodic and jazzy flutes, world percussion, ukulele, bass, and charango. Melo and upbeat vibes. All instruments are tuned to 432 hz for a healthier listening experience.
Original Songs, Stories and Spoken Word Poetry
Luke plays his original mystical folk rock songs on ukulele backed up by pre-recorded music in a loop station. Luke tells a few stories from living abroad and traveling the world in between songs and performs a couple Spoken Word pieces set to music.
The content has some edgy notes, dealing with the issues of life yet bringing it back around for an overall positive and uplifting vibe.
Live Music and Painting
Luke loops instrumental 432 hz music while painting on a canvas at the same time. This is great for background music and visual awe. Spectators will be mesmerized at the full-on display of the creative process unfolding right in front of their eyes.
Sound Equipment
Luke brings all the necessary microphones and cables. He has active speakers appropriate for small to medium-sized venues. He also has battery power for outdoor events where electricity isn't available.
Performance space of 2 meters x 2 meters or 10 feet x 10 feet. 1 power socket. However I do have battery power for outdoor events where electricity is not available.
Address and whether they provide their own sound equipment.
Have a small PA system great for small and medium-sized venues. No lights.
"Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music."
My all-time favorite gig was on a river bank in rural Bolivia, South America, playing for people who were cooling off in the river, encouraging them after their fields had been devastated by forest fires.
I love being a part of festivals, theaters are great too, but I truly feel alive when I'm performing for people who are in need.
I started performing in children's homes, public squares, and rural communities in Bolivia where I lived for 15 years. Now back in the US, I have been taking my music and storytelling to theaters, schools, libraries and even private parties.
Joel Mckerrow, an Australian poet greatly influenced my lyrical style, inspiring me to include spoken word in my songs.
I normally arrive at least 1 hour before set up. The 90-minute version of Pepito is best broken into 2 45-minute sessions. I can loop instrumental music for up to 2 hours straight.
Yes, I am. I can also bring a tent and provide battery-powered amplification if needed.
I only do a few covers and I don't learn songs for events. However, I am willing to discuss options.
Unique, inspirational, creative, positive vibes.
