Luminous Duo are a two-piece ensemble a duo featuring vocalist Nadine Assam and guitarist Lumai Francisco, specialising in soul and bossa-nova covers of modern, popular tunes, as well as the classic 20th century Jazz standards. Alongside this, our particularly unique area is being able to perform songs in a range of languages from Portuguese, Spanish and English. As musicians, we have performed in various esteemed London venues such as Natural History Museum, Royal Academy of Art and V&A.

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment.
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music
As professional musicians with 10+ years of experience, we have performed for a range of venues and clients. Out of all of these, getting to perform at Glastonbury 2022 was an experience we will never forget!

We both studied music and specialised in Jazz performance at university. Since we started we’ve performed at hundreds of weddings, parties and events across the UK and beyond.

We normally arrive about 1 hour before performance, however we can get set up in 30 mins if necessary. We usually perform 2x 40 minute sets, or 2x 60 minute sets, depending on the event.
Yes, happy to perform outside, however we ask for rain cover and protection for our equipment.
