Made In September is a professional female-fronted, 6 piece cover band that plays all of the songs you forgot you loved from the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s. We lean toward a rock vibe, although we do slide in some country and pop to appeal to virtually every audience. We have performed at some of the top venues and festivals in the Chicagoland area, Northwest Indiana, and Southern Wisconsin, as well as weddings, corporate, and private events since 2018.
The band consists of Abbi (vocals), Becki (keyboard, percussion and vocals), Ben (guitar, vocals), Luis (lead guitar), Tom (bass), and Burl (drums, vocals). We also have a dedicated sound technician that accompanies us to events requiring us to provide our own full sound backline or we can work with an existing "in-house" sound technician. Our sound backline utilizes a fully digital, top of the line sound system that sculpts the sound for any venue and provides a balanced aural experience.

We need a performance area of apx. 18' width and 14' depth (we can adjust this slightly as needed). We require 4 grounded 20amp power sockets, ideally one at each corner of the stage. Parking for 3-4 vehicles, including a 10 foot trailer is needed. We are unable to set up on grass or dirt, so a paved area or stage is required.
Specific load in information is needed from a venue.
We are able to provide a full sound system (along with our own sound engineer) as well as stage/dance floor lighting.
Yes, we actually prefer to play music from a Spotify account before, after and between our sets. We are happy to provide our own mix of music or let the client choose the music.
We always perform our best in front of a large crowd, but one of our favorite venues has been 28 Mile Distillery in Highwood. There just an elegance to the room and it provides a great, intimate atmosphere
Weddings are great, simply because guests guests want to get up and dance!
We've been performing throughout Northern Illinois, Southern Wisconsin and Northeastern Indiana since 2018. Between the members, there is over 100 years of performing experience.
Far too many to list, but as a whole the band's influences run from The Beatles to Green Day, Journey to Taylor Swift, and so many, MANY more.
We generally arrive 2 hours prior to the performance time for load in and set up. We generally perform 2-3 hour long sets with 15 minute breaks in between.
We have no problem playing outside provided there is no threat of inclement weather. We do require a flat and level surface, and are unable to set up on dirt or grass.
Depending on the event, we are usually able to allow up to 5 specific new song requests. We welcome our clients to pick "must play" and "do not play" selections from our song catalog.
Our previous clients would describe us as a fun, high energy group that feeds off the energy of a packed dance floor.
We can perform up to 4 hours (with a couple of short breaks) without thinking twice about it.
