Marília, a Brazilian lyric soprano from Porto Alegre, possesses a powerful, metallic voice with excellent projection and coverage. Her musical journey began in 1998 with the UFRGS Technical School Choir, and she has since refined her vocal technique under esteemed mentors such as baritone Jonas Klug, bass Pedro Spohr, and soprano Adriana de Almeida.
She has an extensive career in both popular and classical music, notably performing with the PUCRS Choir since 2002. Marília has sung in large-scale productions for audiences of up to 30,000 people, featuring works like Verdi’s Requiem, Mozart’s Requiem, and operas such as La Traviata, Aida, La Bohème, and Otello.
In 2013, she co-founded the Coral Frederico Gerling Júnior in Porto Alegre, performing in productions like C.Orff's Carmina Burana and A.Ramirez's Misa Criolla. She has also worked as a soloist in concerts spanning classical, musical theatre, and popular music.
Since 2020, Marília has been actively involved in the music scene in Aveiro, Portugal, performing with ExAtos Humanos and DIS Duo, covering pop, rock, jazz, MPB and others styles. In 2023, she founded the Companhia Lírica de Aveiro, a quartet dedicated to classical and contemporary music. Additionally, she has performed with the Coro Sinfónico Inês de Castro in Mozart’s Requiem (2023) and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony (2024) and is a soloist and board member of Orfeão Sol do Troviscal.
