About / Biography

The Magnetic Grey is a fun, driving rock band that has been entertaining the PNW since 2022. Influenced by the classic and alternative rock of the 70s and 80s, The Magnetic Grey brings their growling guitars and driving rhythm to music from The Ramones, David Bowie, B52s, The Clash and more.

Distorted guitars, epic solos, driving kick and thumping bass - check, check, check, and check. Yup. We’re a rock band. Cowbell? Oh, yeah. We have it.

“You’re the best we’ve seen in the tent.” - anonymous (male)

“Take off your pants!” - anonymous (female)

“Thank you for keeping your pants on, Ron.” - mom

Dave “Deep Throat” Harvey - Vocals
Dave tracks many genres of modern music and believes that Live Music is Best. When not singing for Magnetic Grey, he can be found fully enjoying live music at venues ranging from neighborhood dive-bars to Lumen Field! A northwest native, Dave believes that rock n' roll music is the greatest elixir and place of common-ground in these tumultuous times.

Allan “Burn It Down” Brown - Rippin’ Lead Guitar
Scout Master: “How do we make fire without matches, scouts?”
Scouts: “Two sticks and tinder, sir!”
Allan: “Just gimme six strings and half a measure and I’ll set this town on fire…”

Dan “The Juice” Limon - Rhythm Guitar
When life gives you Limons, shred.

Dan has been playing music since the 4th grade. Starting with the trumpet in band and bass guitar in the jazz band. He was asked to play the baritone, which he did for 4 years in high school. But his true passion was playing lead guitar, and he was lucky to have an uncle who took the time and investment in buying his first guitar (Ibanez copy of a telecaster), which he still own today. He took several years of private lessons and played in several bands, including a Kiss tribute band. He can also play some piano, along with the drums. He enjoys singing back-up vocals and can hold his own when called upon to take lead vocals. He’s kind of your utility player apparently. After taking 30 years off and privately playing guitar, he wanted to start playing in band and performing live once again. Today he enjoys playing rhythm guitar with The Magnetic Grey rock band and the acoustic guitar with the Timberlake church worship band. He loves listening to music live anywhere he can.

Paul “If You Can’t Feel It, You’re Dead” Norrell - Bass
We shouldn’t judge Paul, but he does hate Huey Lewis and the News.

Ron “Two Rons Don’t Make A” White - Drums, Vocals
Ron has been playing drums longer than you’ve been alive. Well, if you were born after 1977. Most of his mis-spent youth was listening to all that degenerate rock music like Van Halen, AC/DC, the Scorpions, Sammy Hagar, etc. Yeah. A little rocker with his Walkman and big boombox. So cute. This music heavily influenced Ron’s current musical interests, which has led him to listening to his new favorite playlists with music from bands like Van Halen, AC/DC, the Scorpions, Sammy Hagar, etc. He likes to play drums loud and fast, the way God intended.
