"Mangroove" is an experienced and well-seasoned ensemble specializing in hard-swinging jazz, latin jazz, and occasional "Old School" music, inclusive of Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra tunes. Manny has previously performed at Boston's Scullers Jazz Club to SOLD OUT audiences. "Mangroove" often features guest vocalists and musicians touring in the area.
This drummer/vocalist has performed with such distinguished artists and educators as MAYA ANGELOU and has also performed with STEVEN TYLER of AEROSMITH. Manny has also worked with such noteables as MAURICE STARR, ANDRE WARD, DONALD HARRISON, and the late SABBY LEWIS, to name but a few. "Mangroove" also performed with 6-time Grammy Award nominee KURT ELLING at the Democratic National Convention.
"Mangroove" has recently moved to Wilmington, NC where he is developing a network of musicians and is actively performing with such area greats as JACK KRUPICKA, DOUG IRVING, BENNY HILL, DR. TEDDY BURGH, JERALD SHYNETT, NATALIE BOEYINK, EL JAYE JOHNSON, WILLIAM GERALD, SILIVEA JOHNSON, Durham's BRIAN MILLER, and International Steinway recording artist LENORE RAPHAEL.
