A celebration of music and song from the Jazz Age!
Matt Palmer (saxophones, clarinet & vocals) and Jo Nutman (piano) have both spent many years collectively and individually performing with some of the UK’s leading jazz bands both as band members and band leaders, they now collaborate to celebrate their mutual passion for the music of the 1920s and 1930s and their desire to share this with partygoers and music-lovers alike. This era was known as the “Jazz Age” when there was such a rich heritage of great compositions known as “The Great American Song Book” which provided a musical backdrop to much frivolity and partying. The Gatsby Go-Getters recreate these golden sounds to evoke the good times of an earlier era.
The band is available as a duo, trio, quartet or quintet tailored specifically to your event.
Aside from the glitz and razzmatazz of the “Gatsby Era” the Gatsby Go-Getters are equally at home in a more subdued mode for a dinner jazz set either as a stand-alone performance or as a prelude to the main event. We can also offer a DJ service to keep the party going long into the night.
