Motor City Revue is a 12-piece band that pays tribute to popular and rare Motown & Stax artists. Our band consists of a stellar cast of female and male vocalists, keyboard, guitar, bass, drums and a 5-piece horn section, made up of some of the most talented live and studio musicians/singers in the New York area, PLUS dancers! Whether it is a private or corporate event, theater or concert, MCR never fails to deliver a great show that will have your guests dancing and singing along.
Our show spans the history of Motown starting with Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Little Stevie Wonder, Martha & The Vandellas, Marvin Gaye, etc. and then moving to The Supremes, Jr. Walker, Edwin Starr, Stevie Wonder and The Jacksons, with a little Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, James Brown and Sly & The Family Stone thrown in for good measure. We can supply anywhere from 7 to 12 musicians (plus dancers!) to suit your needs.
Naturally we are capable of other types of music as well, jazz, classic rock, etc. We can also supply ceremony and cocktail music if you like - solo, duo, trio, quartet, with or without vocals, and using a variety of instruments. We all love playing together and it shows in the great time we have with you and your guests. Wear your dancing shoes!
