I am a semiprofessional DJ from Istanbul and just moved to Prague with more than 15 years of DJ experience. I still produce and host my own radio show in İstanbul, playing vinyl records only (Mint @ www.apacikradyo.com.tr every Friday evening at 20:00 CET) I have a great collection of 80's pop, soul, northern soul, disco, R&B, rock, punk, post-punk and indie records.

I started at university (about 30 years ago!!) both DJing at local bars/clubs, parties as well as working at a local radio station and have always kept it as a very passionate hobby even though I have a day job to this day. This is the most difficult question ever! I've been influenced by and fascinated with a lot of different genres, artists, songs, this is really hard to narrow down to a few. Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Bruce Springsteen, The Clash, Johnny Cash, The Kinks, Madonna, Madness, The Smiths, R.E.M., The Cure, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Gap Band, Sister Sledge, Prince, Nina Simone, Fleetwood Mac, Toto, Van Morrison, Depeche Mode, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Tom Waits, The Field Mice, Gang of Four, The Au-Pairs, Wire...the list goes on and on!!
I normally arrive 1 hour before the gig and play for 2-4 hours. I am all flexible though
No problem, as long as the conditions are met
The clients are welcome to dig in and select favourite tunes from my record bag during the performance. They can also ask for specific songs a few days before the gig and I'll be happy bring those records along (provided that I have them!)
