Michael Cash is a singer/songwriter/guitarist who discovered his love for music and live performance in his early teenage years while singing and playing the guitar in church. He began writing and performing his own music in the 70's. His musical style is heavily influenced by singer/songwriters James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, Gordon Lightfoot, and Dan Fogelberg. Michael has also competed in and won several national songwriting contests. His song "Watch Her as She Sleeps" earned top 10 position on the Billboard Charts in 1991. Michael and his brother won the first round of competition on the Nashville television show "Star Search" while performing this song. In 1992, Michael began studying classical guitar performance. He has studied in master classes with guitar greats like Christopher Parkening, Manuel Barrueco, and Ricardo Cobo. The years Michael spent studying the classical guitar has defined him as a professional, accomplished, fingerstyle guitarist. Michael has five CD's to his credit. In 2002, he recorded a classical guitar CD titled "Songs Without Words." Several songs from this project were used in the soundtrack for the 2006 television movie "The Teachings of Jon." Michael is also a staff guitarist at Biltmore House in Asheville, NC. Michael signed a recording contract with “The Tate Music Group” in 2015 and recorded a CD titled “Have I Done Enough
