The best gig I’ve ever done was one of those nights where everything just clicked—the crowd, the energy, the selections. I was playing at a bar with a small dancefloor, and I dropped Altın Gün followed by some unexpected pop throwbacks like Backstreet Boys and Madonna. The mix of global sounds and nostalgia just made people go wild. There was this moment when the whole place was moving, and I could feel that connection with the crowd—that’s what it’s all about.

As for the best venue, I haven't played in massive clubs (yet!), but there was this one bar that had a slightly clubby feel—low lights, a great sound system, and a crowd that was open to different styles. That was a game-changer for me, realizing I could take bar gigs to a more dance-oriented space.

I love gigs where the crowd is open-minded and ready for a journey. I thrive in bar settings where people aren’t necessarily coming just to dance but end up vibing anyway. When I can blend different genres—global grooves, hip-hop, downtempo, and some unexpected classics—and see the crowd react to every switch-up, that’s my favorite.

I started out just playing music I loved at home, experimenting with different sounds, and mixing for fun. Eventually, I got a chance to play at a small bar, and from there, things just started rolling. At first, I was mostly curating the vibe—downtempo, chill stuff—but as I got more comfortable, I started pushing into more danceable rhythms. Over time, I built my confidence, expanded my style, and got better at reading crowds. Now, I’m all about blending different influences in a way that keeps people engaged.

I’ve been really influenced by artists who bridge different cultures and sounds—think Altın Gün, Thievery Corporation, Massive Attack, and a lot of electronic producers who mix global elements into their music. Also, hip-hop and dub have shaped the way I think about rhythm and groove.

Favorite artist? That’s tough, but if I had to pick one, maybe DJ Shadow—his ability to mix different textures and genres is something I really admire.

Greatest song of all time? That’s impossible to answer, but Massive Attack – Teardrop is one of those tracks that never fails to give me chills. It’s got atmosphere, depth, and emotion—all the things I love in music.
