New Moon on Monday is the true fan's tribute to Duran Duran. As dedicated students of DD’s iconic sound and style, this band is no cheap imitation.
Instead, it’s a group built on honouring these pioneers of the New Romantic era and the British Invasion of MTV. With passion and precision, New Moon performs an impressive array of the catalogue, from massive hits like “Girls on Film” to beloved lesser-knowns such as “Hold Back the Rain.”
An often neglected aspect of Duran tributes, however, is the fashion! New Moon’s meticulous wardrobe and stage effects reflect the major influence of designers such as Vivienne Westwood on Duran's overall aesthetic. You won’t see cheap wigs or cheap digs when New Moon hits the stage. New Moon on Monday is the premiere Duran tribute: capturing the fire, the charm, the style and the craft - and bringing it to you.

Debut show at Longboard in Pacifica, CA. It was an unforgettable night playing for fans and each other! We’d worked so hard to launch this passion project, and it all came together. We’d look around at each other during the show, and get tears in our eyes :)
A showcase where the audience loves Duran Duran, so they know all the deep cuts .
Some members of the band were in a previous Duran tribute. That imploded, so we continued on as Neon Velvet, which became a successful corporate dance band. All the while, we felt something unfinished around the Duran experience. We wanted to bring it back, but this time even better. So we spent a year planning and rehearsing. Now it’s being reborn as New Moon on Monday!

We ask for at least 3 hours for set up and sound check. Sets are normally up to 120 min total.
We are happy to perform outside
We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.
