Nightshake is an international duo featuring Teneja Skrget (SL) and Rick Derman (USA), performing across western Germany (NRW) since 2018. Teneja, a classically trained singer, brings her acoustic guitar to life in all popular styles and is a sought-after solo artist in her region. Rick, a lead singer and versatile electric guitarist with over 1,200 concerts under his belt, showcases his deep American musical roots.

We can bring our own equipment. However should the organiser provide this then we would require a professional PA with 2 speakers, mixer with minimum 6 channels and a floor monitor plus 3 mics with stands.
This kind of information can vary greatly from venue to venue. So nothing specific at this time.
Yes, we’re self contained and can bring our own PA system as well as a simple lighting rig. However professional equipment from the organiser will also be considered.
Yes, we can provide CD playback of pop/rock hits before and between our sets.
Our best gig was probably at a German city festival. We've played at so many great venues it would be really hard to choose just one!
We love to rock out at open air festivals in the summer with a receptive crowd. That's always a great vibe! But we also enjoy playing pure acoustic and creating a special atmosphere for guests while they're dining.
I moved from Berlin to the west coast of Germany in 2018 and created Nightshake with Teneja. We jumped right into the live music scene and haven't stopped since. Prior to 2018 we both performed solo or with various lineups.
I think Teneja was inspired by Janis Joplin and more recently by Dua Lipa. My favorite band is The Beatles and a singer/songwriter would have to be David Bowie. The greatest song of all time is probably Stairway To Heaven for it's innovative structure and dynamics. Another great one is A Day In The Life from The Beatles for the same reasons.
We have a program of 2x45 , 3x45 or 4x45 minutes with encores. This depends on the organiser's requirements. We also provide break music that fits the venue.
Yes we love to play outdoors!
We have a set repertoire but are flexible and open to suggestions within reason.
I would say without reservation that Nightshake is a crowd pleaser. Whatever the situation we find a way to make our audience happy!
