Nik Hirst is a highly experienced, professional, and motivated musician looking to perform at weddings and corporate events.
Nik is a vocalist, able to perform lead vocals and backing harmonies. He studied jazz piano at Mohawk College and has ten years of experience playing rock and pop. Nik is also a competent guitarist. He is equally comfortable leading a band, performing as a side man, or performing solo.
Nik has a classic rock repertoire of over 300 songs and is able to learn new material very quickly. He also understands the importance of professionalism and punctuality.
In terms of experience, Nik has played hundreds of gigs throughout southern Ontario, dozens of festivals, he led the house band at Tim Hortons Field (CFL football team Hamilton Tiger-Cats), and performed as a guest entertainer on several Royal Caribbean cruises.

Performed original music and covers for a crowd of 15000 people in Dundas, Ontario in summer of 2024.
I love singing lead or backing vocals. Playing for an engaged crowd is the most rewarding.
I’ve been performing live since I was 16 years old - starting with original music in the Hamilton bar scene. Since then I’ve been privileged to play hundreds of gigs throughout southern Ontario, usually as a sideman or member of original and cover bands. More recently, I’ve begun performing covers and/or original music under my own name.
The Beach Boys will always be my #1. I agree with Paul McCartney that God Only Knows is the most beautiful song of all time.
I also love The Talking Heads, Bob Marley, Leonard Cohen, The Band, and countless others.
Having experience in all sorts of gigs, my setup time is fairly quick - even for a full band we’d require less than an hour. For a solo performance or small group, even less.
I’m used to performing 3x45 sets, but I am very flexible as per the client’s needs.
I’m happy to play outside.
I have an extensive repertoire list, but I’m very willing to learn new material for a gig, within reason.
My performances have been described as fun, energetic, and full of crowd-pleasing songs.
