About Olivia Le Roux

Olivia Le Roux is a dynamic French lyric soprano known for her compelling performances and technical finesse. Since launching her career, she has rapidly become a recognized figure in the classical music world, blending her rich vocal prowess with an emotive stage presence.

In April 2022, Olivia marked a significant milestone in her career with her debut as Donna Anna in Mozart’s "Don Giovanni" at the Theatro Apollon Syros. This performance was in collaboration with the esteemed New York opera company, Teatro Grattacielo, and accompanied by the Sinfonietta Hellenica orchestra under the baton of Maestro Georgios Galanis. Her portrayal was noted for its vocal clarity and dramatic interpretation, earning her accolades in the operatic community.

Building on her ascending career trajectory, Olivia has recently been announced as a semi-finalist in the prestigious International Singing Competition of the Great Lyric Voices of Africa, set to take place in April 2024 at the Palais de la Porte Dorée in Paris. This selection underscores her growing influence and reputation in the international opera scene.

Looking ahead, Olivia is diligently preparing for upcoming roles that promise to showcase her versatility and technical skill. She is set to embody Musetta in Puccini's "La Bohème" and Cleopatra in Handel's "Giulio Cesare in Egitto," roles that are both demanding and richly rewarding.

Olivia’s repertoire also includes a variety of other significant roles such as Lia in Debussy's "L'enfant Prodigue," which she performed at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod 2018 with the North Wales Opera studio, and Antonia in Offenbach’s "Les Contes d'Hoffmann," as well as Lauretta in Puccini’s "Gianni Schicchi," performed with the Atelier Lyrique d'Opéra de l'Université de Montréal under Robin Wheeler.

In addition to her stage accomplishments, Olivia has been part of the Grange Park Opera chorus for the 2019 season and has won several awards, including the 3rd prize at the IMC International Music Competition in 2022 and a scholarship from the Mario Lanza Educational Foundation in Great Britain in 2019.

Educationally, she holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Université de Montréal and has enriched her skills through numerous international masterclasses with renowned instructors such as Renata Scotto, Eleonora Pacetti, and Margreet Honig.
