The Opera Singing Waiters The Opera Singing Waiters are the quintessential dinner party entertainment.

Technical requirements for a small event are very minimal. We'll integrate seamlessly into any small room or even outdoors with no electrical source required as we'll bring our internally powered speaker(s) for backing accompaniment. For larger events sound tech and PA system are required but we'll talk you through all of that once you've told us a bit more about your event.

Just give us the name, address and point of contact details for your venue and we'll liaise with them about their waiters uniform and any logistics required.

We do provide all of our own audio tech when needed. Every event is different, so if there are any extra costs to supply what's needed we'll tell you this right up front. We don't use any special lighting as we are an interactive act, though if it's a big event and you have AV arranged we're happy to be followed around by a spotlight!

As we're a surprise act it's best to leave the other services to your band, DJ and venue. We're totally incognito so it's best not to draw any suspicion as to our role at the event as anything other than waiters!

We performed in Buckingham Palace at an event where The King was in attendance last year. That was amazing.

We absolutely love performing for everyone, everywhere. We love shattering the belief that opera is stuffy and out of touch with modern culture. Our favourite compliment is, "I didn't think I liked opera but that was amazing. I loved it." Bringing amazing music to those least suspecting is fantastic. There is no event or audience we don't love to perform for.

We've been performing together for events for 20 years now. The energy is always contagious and keeps us young! Contracts with The Royal Opera House, ENO, and all of the opera fantastic companies in the UK simply don't pay a living wage anymore, so we've always supplemented our income with singing waiters gigging work. It's the best way to really reach out and connect with new audiences. We love it.

Our set up is quite streamlined. It typically takes anything from 5 minutes to an hour depending on the size of the event and logistics of the room. If it's a larger party requiring vocal amplification (mics) we will arrive before your guests are within earshot of the dining room so that we can set up and sound check before they arrive.

Yes, we are very happy to perform outside. We just need a shelter option in case the weather requires. ...we can't perform in the rain or other extremes.

Absolutely. If you give us your requests at the point of booking we'll line up the performers from our ensemble with the best voices and personalities to perform your requests. If you don't have any specific requests we're happy to recommend an excellent and popular set list for you. We'll always check it with you though to make sure you're happy with it and give you a chance to request any changes before we finalise the programme.
