Tony Henry
Tony Henry was born in St Albans in Hertfordshire.
Tony’s operatic debut was in 1995 singing the role of Luigi in Il Tabarro with Broomhill Opera.
Tony has performed roles with The European Chamber Opera, English Touring Opera, Castleward Opera, Opera North and a number of Raymond Gubbay productions at the Royal Albert Hall.
Roles have included Don Jose in Carmen, Rudolfo in La Boheme, Pinkerton in Madam Butterfly, Radames in Aida, Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Canio in Pagliacci, Tony in Westside Story, and Alfredo in La Traviata. Work has also included recital and concert work
Tony landed his first record deal with Warner Bros in 2002 and released Modern Arias in 2003.
Tony has performed at Buckingham Palace at the invitation of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth to celebrate the birthday of His Royal Highness the Prince Edward.
Tony had the honour of singing the National Anthem before a capacity crowd of 120,000 before an FA Cup Final. On New Years Eve 2009
Performed in front of a live audience of over 1 million people at The Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
One of the highlights for Tony has been performing as part of the ‘Night of the Proms’ tour with a live 90 piece orchestra and a 60 voice choir to rapturous receptions all over Europe in every major city.
Currently Tony is working on new material torelease another classic album later this year.
