Biography.
Pablo Dias, born in Montes Claros MG
He began his life in dance and music at the age of 5. Lambada, ballroom dancing, Salsa, bachata, Samba de Gafieira.
At the age of 13 he had his first contact with Forró Universitário and never stopped. At the age of 14 he was a teacher in the Oficina do Forró of our Master Ronald Freire, founder of Forró Universitário in Belo Horizonte.
A great pioneer and owner of a unique style of dancing and teaching. Pablo developed his own style, seeking knowledge in various dances and also Capoeira, which he always played simultaneously with dance and music.
At 18 he went to Europe where he pioneered university forró in Lisbon, Portugal 🇵🇹, starting his first forró project in 2005 and opening the Portuguese Forró Association. He traveled the four corners of the globe and all over Europe dancing and playing his beloved forró among other musical genres.
In 2011 he created the Forró do Pablito Lisboa Festival. It changed to Forró de Lisboa Festival in 2012 and has withstood all the adversities of the forró movement in Europe to this day.
Pablo has specialized in ballroom dancing, classical and contemporary ballet, theater and contact and improvisation, 8 years of Capoeira and a total of 26 years of dedication and love for music and dance.
