Paul’s musical path began at 14, drumming in his father’s studio before joining a school rock band. In college, he switched to bass, forming his first original band, Red, followed by Stoneriver and later SAPP, a hard-edged rock band that toured the UK, headlined festivals, and released EPs under Rarebird Music (1996–2001).

Following SAPP’s breakup, Paul shifted to session work before launching a solo career. In 2004, he secured a six-month residency in Cyprus, followed by extensive touring with Storm, performing on bass, backing, and lead vocals. The band was a four-piece party band covering all genres from every era, touring on cruise ships through Canada, America, and Mexico. He then joined the powerhouse rock band International Playboys on rhythm guitar and shared lead vocals, playing for US troops in Bahrain and aboard the USS Enterprise (2006).

Performing as an acoustic solo singer-songwriter, Paul captivated audiences with his stripped-back performances. From 2007 to 2009, he held a two-year residency at Dubai’s Irish Village, supporting acts like Sir Bob Geldof and performing at major events, further refining his solo artistry across the Middle East.

Inspired to revive SAPP, he reunited the band in 2010, releasing the singles Blind and Fallin, and playing shows at the O2 in London and Dublin Castle. The band disbanded again in 2011.

Since 2012, Paul has performed across the UAE and Middle East, both solo and with various bands. In 2016, he formed Fixer, one of the region’s top live rock bands, earning a loyal following through residencies at Red Hot & Chilli Dubai, McGettigan’s Abu Dhabi, and festival performances at Hopfest, Emirates Bike Festival, Autism Rocks, and Harley Davidson events.

With an ever-evolving career spanning original music, session work, and high-energy live performances, Paul continues to make his mark on the global rock scene.
