PolFrank (Paula Berga) is a Valencian pianist and composer who, through the blend of genres and influences, improvisation, and humor, offers a unique and entertaining performance. Her repertoire includes original pieces both released and unreleased, as well as a variety of covers from artists and groups she admires (such as the Beach Boys, Frank Zappa, or Vulfpeck, among others). Pop, funk, fusion, progressive rock, or "world music" are some of the genres that describe this particular performance.
She usually performs at cafés, bars, venues, but can also adapt her repertoir for events, weddings, etc.

- Space to fit a 88 keys keyboard + its seat.
- A chair for me to sit (if it's a piano bench it'd be even better)
- Microphone (in case the set has voice) + its stand
- Ideally an amp for the keyboard (and for the mic if that's the case) + their jack cables.
- Not required, but if the venue has an actual piano (tuned and ready to play) that can be hopefully miced up, it'd be great.
- I need to know what kind of venue it is and how many people fit in the audience.
- I need to know payment conditions beforehand as well (tickets, fixed price, etc.).
No, I can only bring my keyboard.
It depends on what is needed. I am not a DJ, but we can sort it out.
The best gig I've ever done was with my band at La Fábrica de Hielo in Valencia. It was a very successful show, as many people showed up, and everyone had a great time.
I love playing concerts at cozy venues, because it feels welcoming and chill, but I am open to any kind of event.
I have always played music, but I started playing concerts during college with a couple of bands I was a part of. After finishing my studies, I began to gig by myself in Valencia both alone and with my band.
My greatest reference and influence in music is Frank Zappa, as I love his uniqueness and weirdness. He gave me inspiration to do crazy stuff when writing music. After first discovering him, I realized experimentation and improvisation are one of the most fun parts of music (at least in my opinion).
Other artists I took influence on are Keith Jarrett, Keith Emerson, Anomalie, or Jacob Collier, that helped me develop my piano playing. Others have been Gorillaz, Tame Impala, Louis Cole, Thundercat, Vulfpeck... Alternative, indie, funky, hip-hop kind of bands.
I can't tell what the greatest song of all time is, but I can say lately a great album I've been listening to is "My Spanish Heart" by Chick Corea.
Currently in my set, I only sing in 2 songs, the rest is instrumental, but my plan is to include a few more with some singing. Depending on requests for covers, I might be able to sing more.
Usually I take about half an hour to set up and sound check. My current set is around 1 hour long, but it depends on the kind of gig. For small venue concerts, this usually works, but I can make it a bit longer. If it was a background music kind of situation, it can be 2 hours.
Yes, that is okay, as long as it's not raining and the weather isn't extremely cold, hot or windy.
I usually choose my own setlist, but it depends on the kind of gig. For private events I take a few suggestions.
Very warm, chill but exciting. People tell me I communicate very well with the audience. I smile a lot and have a lot of fun when I play, and that energy is contagious. I also throw some humor in my short monologues between songs, and people always find that entertaining.
