The PommyGranites have played over 200 live performances since we formed in 2015. We are 4 enthusiastic musicians who have a passion for playing good music together.
Based in Northamptonshire, the band members are Alison Haley on Lead Vocals, Richard Ashby (aka Woody) on Lead Guitar and Vocals, Terry Haley on Bass, and Will Thomas on Drums. The PommyGranites have played a variety of pubs, clubs, events, festivals and private parties and are happy to travel (within reason, of course).
The PommyGranites' set list is constantly evolving and consists of a wide mix of all kinds of popular and rock tracks that range from right back to the 60s to the present day - we're always happy to take on suggestions too.
Within the set are tracks from Blondie, Sweet, Stereophonics, Tom Petty, Ocean Colour Scene, KT Tunstall, Bon Jovi, The Police, Pulp, Green Day, Rolling Stones, The Cult, Bruce Springsteen, and AC/DC (for appropriate audiences obviously) and many others proving the wide range of influences in the band. We require space for four performers including drums. 1 x 13amp power socket and space for 3 cars.
We need the venue address including the post code. We also need to know if there are any special requirements for access times and loading / unloading areas.
We are completely self contained and will bring our own PA and simple stage lighting.
We are happy to provide interval music from our own or your chosen playlists.
We love playing all sorts of events and it would be difficult to chose a favourite. We really enjoy entertaining and getting people up on the dance floor.
This band was formed in 2015 and we have performed over 300 gigs since then. All of our band members are very experienced having played in various other bands.
We love most pop and rock music and it is difficult to pick favourites. Our guitarist loves Tom Petty, Gary Moore and Van Halen. Our singer Alison grew up listening to The Police and more recently loves listening to K T Tunstall. The Rhythm section just like anything with a good groove.
We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best."
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area."
We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 3 or 4 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them."
