We are an acoustic Latin trio from Colombia, South America. Three of us have played for the past 25 years in a different setups all over America, UK and Europe.
We play a nice mix of classical fusion with very popular Colombian tunes in our unique style.
Acoustic Latin Trio is perfect for Wedding Ceremonies and Drinks Receptions when we can create the perfect atmosphere as we play a few songs as your guests are being seated performing tasteful background music of classical guitar with Latin rhythms. Acoustic Latin Trio gives the unmistakable atmosphere of Latin live music to your celebration.
During a half hour break we can teach you and your guess how to move to a more danceable tunes so your party can dance along to our second set. This is perfect if you are looking for that something different to your celebration!.
We play 2 x 45 minutes or 3 x 20 minutes live sets, we deliver a Latin dance workshop between sets and finally we play (DJ) over some Latin records to take the party into the night. We bring our own PA.
Jaime is a Colombian Classical trained guitarist as well as sound engineer that has been performing for 25 years in Europe as a solo artist. He also teaches Colombian folk guitar in south London.
Alfonso de Jesus "El Mono" one of the best lead singers from Colombia, has played Salsa with the very well known Joe Arroyo (Colombia), Danza invisible (Spain) and carryon playing and performing as a male vocalist and percussionist in the Latin scene based in London since the late 90's. He participated in many international festivals and worked and travel all over the world with a variety of projects. He is the musical director of Mondongo.
The trio leader Sandra "La tata rumbera" has been working in the Latin music and dance scene based in UK since the earliest 90's. Mainly playing in big salsa and charanga bands. I have been playing at the Barbican, Womad, Gay pride, former Bass clef, La finca, Bar Bahia Ronnie Scott's to mention few and have play a part at Channel 4 BBC 2 music programs back in 90's and new millennium.
Sandra's new project as the vocal, percussion and leadership of Acoustic Latin Trio is allowing her to play original Colombian tunes combined with melodic vocals for serenating lyrics as Bambuco and guainos ideal for first set/background music. Combining her 30 years experience of performing.
Sandra is amalgamated with two other musicians as Jaime on Guitar and Alfonso "El Mono" on vocals and percussion, line-up well versed in the roots of Classical and Latin Music experienced, talented musicians, the perfect combination for an acoustic trio.
The instrumental line-up consists of: Guitar, Latin Percussions (Cajon, Bongos, Cowbell) & Hand percussion (Guacharaka, Maracas, Guasa).
