We play the hits from all eras : from the crooners, to rock-n-roll, to Latin and Motown, the and the best of the disco era. The music you love, for all ages.
Whether it be for an outdoor summer show, a festival, a wedding, an organization event, or a fund-raising gala, -- Preville Big Band puts on a show and gets your folks up dancing. We've played festivals, weddings, the Canadian Tulip Ball, New Year's Eve at a hotel, fund-raisers, seniors' residences, and opened the season at the yacht club.

SPACE requirements for the full band,
- Ideal space: is 16 feet deep and 24 feet wide
- Workable: 12' deep by 24' wide, or 16' deep by 20' wide
Space available and placement. I might want to look it over with you in advance.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment
SOUND SYSTEM:
- We can bring ours whole system. Or we can plug our mixer into your main speakers. Or your sound technician can do it all (best solution if he has worked with a big band before. )
- Musicians have their own clip-on mics (XLR, require phantom power).
LIGHTING: We have basic lighting. If your team has more, that's even better
We can provide a DJ if required. (Additional cost). Your DJ can plug into our system if desired (No charge). We can also play recorded music during breaks (No charge)
- One of our nicest was playing for the Canadian Tulip Ball in Ottawa, in the Ottawa Convention Centre. Great show.
- We have done many New Year's Eve parties at Hotel Place d'Armes in Old Montreal
- We love doing outdoor shows.
We are a DANCE band and a SHOW band. So we love doing...

- Weddings, anniversaries.
We've been around since 1976, and still going strong. Music has evolved since those days, and so have we!
In all we have played hundreds of gigs. We also played at Club Med 18 times (2 weeks a year).
We are basically a cover band. We can do crooners, Motown, disco, Latin, Rock-n-Roll, etc. At the beginning it was the big bands like Glenn Miller that influenced us a lot, with the rat pack singers. Then Elvis and rock-n-roll. Then the disco era came and we have lots of classic disco hits. More recently it's been Madonna, Taylor Swift, Michael Bublé.
If we provide the sound system, we really need 4 hours to do it.
Outdoors? We love to -- in summertime. We cannot play in the rain or the cold or the snow. We are not a marching band :)
