I am a DJ and Producer specialising in the genres of techno and trance. Having multiple releases in these genres, I perform a unique mix that blends together mainstage sounds of techno and trance with some DnB at my sets.
A pioneer CDJ(2000 or newer) coupled with a Pioneer or XONE mixer or an XDJ all in one system connected to venue sound and lighting is expected for large venues. Events that do not have decks available, personal decks will be brought in. A DJ booth with venue sound and lighting system will need to be provided in these instances. Access to power sockets will be needed in these instances. A 1-2m space behind the DJ booth whilst not required would be preferred to place a tripod for filming purposes.
What is the dimensions of the DJ booth and what are the venue policies regarding access to the DJ booth.
No. The venue is expected to have its own audio and lighting system(where applicable). Only equipment that can be provided in certain instances are DJ decks.
Yes I'm happy to play music off of a curated Spotify playlist before in the lead up to my set. No service will be provided afterwards.
I've hosted multiple raves at Brunel's student union nightclub with one of those events being the absolute best with a very vibrant audience packed with lots of energy lighting and groovy bass.
I love playing an assortment of events but I do prefer playing inside a club or on stage at to large crowd with massive vibrant visuals.
I've played extended and regular sets at various local clubs and bars playing an assortment of techno and trance mainly, only recently having branched into DnB. I began as a producer and after a while I delved into DJing to play my songs and remixes to an audience.
Maddix, Hardwell, Armin Van Buuren, KSHMR, Dimension have all been my biggest inspiration and their sounds have influenced my production and playing their music at my sets always gets the crowd hyped up. I could not say who is my favourite as I love them all but recently Maddix has certainly been on my playlists more than others.
I usually arrive 1hr before my set time to prepare or if it is an event I'm hosting, I would arrive 2hrs before to ensure everything is as it should be. My performances usually range from 1-2hrs but it is not unusual to have played much longer sets.
As long as there is cover/a marquee over the DJ booth to protect against weather and sun, it would not be a problem as long as power can be supplied.
Whilst I cannot guarantee. I can look at preferences and tailor my song portfolio to accomodate the clients choice. The preferences would have to loosely fit into the styles that I play. E.G. if the request is to have some songs from a pop artist, whilst I cannot play those songs outright, I can find remixes that fit into my style and add that to the library of songs.
Previous clients have described my sound as high energy, danceable and gets the crowd jumping up and down. I have received compliments suggesting my song selection is very modern and up to date with popular sounds.
