Rashmi Panikar is a professional Bollywood Live performer and Playback singer. Relocated to Houston a few years ago, she has performed in Mumbai, Dallas and Houston so far and is currently available to perform throughout the USA, Canada and India.
Since childhood, Rashmi has been training in Hindustani Classical and Light Music genres such as Film songs(Bollywood), Ghazals and Nazms under her father's guidance Mr. Pramod Panikar who himself has been learning Hindustani Classical under the Kirana Gharana style for more than 35 years along with light music genres such as Thumri gayaki, Old film songs and Ghazals.
Her recent original song was produced by the USA based Music Label:TopShotLife founded by Vinay Singh. The video featured Splitsvilla finalists duo Kashish Ratnani and Kashish Thakur which garnered over a million views on YouTube in just two days after it was uploaded. The song was written, composed and sung (duet) by Udit Saxena.
Rashmi's dedication and hard work have led her to numerous opportunities including being one of the top 12 contestants on the Malayalam reality show "Golden Voice" which aired on Kairali TV. Recognizing her skills on the show, Music Director Sibu Sukumaran gave Rashmi her debut Malayalam playback song "Mohobbat ki Jannat" for a Movie. Her recent collaboration with the genius music director gave her the opportunity to share the the limelight with playback singers Vijesh Gopal and Sajeer Koppam.
Rashmi has been using her technical prowess to learn basic audio mixing and mastering to make her recordings sound professional.
In order to further learn and develop her skills and explore the ocean that Music is, she has recently started learning from Classical and Playback singer who is also a recipient of the Padma Shri award(fourth-highest civilian award of the Republic of India) Padmaja Phenany Joglekar.
