Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

All we need is a place to park ourselves down on a couple of stools (or we'll stand and sing), and we're good to go!

What information do you require about a venue?

Just point us in the direction and we'll be there.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

We can provide an acoustic sound system that will easily reach 250-500 guests; clear, crisp and able to make out all the words without overpowering.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can stream playlists from Amazon Music or Spotify in between sets.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

Best performance to date was a recent private event where we played requests and entertained five generations of guests.
Being able to transcend musical eras and have something for everyone was special.
This was already a re-booking, and we're scheduled to perform again for a birthday party in their family.

What's your favourite type of event?

Our favorite type of event to date was aforementioned. This was a retirement party and the range of ages was vast.
Everyone had a great time. They're all enjoyable, but there's something truly heartfelt about ushering in the next chapter of a person's or a couple's life. I suppose a wedding or a graduation would give us the same satisfaction.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

Ray has been a touring professional since age 15, and has performed with over a dozen inductees of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
Trained on Classical piano at age 6, Ray also plays guitar and bass.
Taking the stage at NYC's Madison Square Garden was Ray's most memorable concert performance. Hailing from Brooklyn made it all the more fulfilling.
Kay is Classically trained on violin and has been singing her entire adult life.
She has performed at T-Mobile Park and Climate Pledge Arena in her hometown of Seattle; and prior to pairing with Ray, was featured on a recent Warped Tour.
We met in 2022, and the chemistry was instantaneous. We haven't slowed down or paused ever since.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Kay: I truly draw from so much; it seems impossible to narrow down my influences on just a select few.
I can tell you that I learned the most about vocal harmonies by listening to my parents' Simon and Garfunkel and Beach Boys records. Like so many other recording artists and performers, discovering The Beatles was invaluable to me.
Greatest song of all time? I'll defer to Ray on this...

Ray: My Dad was a vocalist, as well. He influenced me the most. After Dad, it would be Elvis, The Bee Gees, Def Leppard and most of Motown.
My favorite all time artist is Edgar Winter. His fusion of rock, country, funk and Blues is unfairly seamless.
The greatest song of all time has to be New York, New York by Frank Sinatra. I realized I'm biased. I'm not at all sorry!

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We'll show up 1-2 hours prior to set up and sound check.
We'll do 3 sets of 40 minutes each, but prefer 2 sets of 60 each.
However, anything can be discussed and agreed upon - we try to be low maintenance!

Are you happy to perform outside?

We actually prefer it during certain times of the year!

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

While we have several sets of strong suit material, we absolutely welcome requests!

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

The most sincere compliments we've received is that we truly love what we do, and we're always willing to go the extra mile to put a smile on faces and to get people singing along.
