Tech requirements depend on the specifics of the event performance. As a full electric 4 piece band, we require AC power on LEFT & RIGHT sides of back of stage as well as front of staging area. Performance space (approx. 12' x 16') for 4 musicians and our equipment. Stage plot layout available upon request.
We need to know logistical information such as: access to the venue to load in our equipment, if there’s a sound system/sound engineer in the venue, etc.
For smaller events, such as private parties, we provide our own PA sound system. We subcontract a professional sound co. for larger audiences/events for additional fees.

Retro-Sky likes to approach each and every gig (no matter how humble) as if it will be the last we ever play. As a result, every gig is THE BEST gig we have ever played and every stage is special.
We love playing at all sorts of events but parties are probably our most favorite! The clients and guests are always eager to celebrate and have a good time so it’s easy to get them moving and dancing along to what we do. The band feeds off of this infectious energy and we always have a great time.
Some of us have been playing together since we were kids in high school. Every member of this band is an experienced professional musician ( and educator) who has played in both original and cover acts in our area. In its current formation, the four musicians in Retro-Sky have performed together at close to a thousand shows, parties and events across South Florida.
The top 40 pop rock and alternative hits of the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s are probably our strongest influence. We can play just about any song requested by our clients BUT really love playing everything from Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell", to Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World " to more modern hits like Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Otherside" and The KIllers' "Mr. Brightside". Most of our material when we play live on the local circuit, consists of music from the last 4 decades of hits on FM rock radio.
Our client is KING. We typically arrive 1-2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 3 x 50 minutes or 2 x 70 minute sets but we are happy to abide by whatever the client requests.
We’re flexible and happy to play outside but in the event there's no stage (& especially during the brutal Summer months in South Florida) we ask for shade, a flat level surface, and a power supply close to the performance area in order to set up/ protect our equipment.
We provide our clients with a master list of songs. They are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them. We are happy to learn new songs specifically for an event as long as we have ample notice and time to study/rehearse them.
