Romance in Durango are a stylish duo from the North of England, with bases in Manchester and Wakefield (West Yorkshire). The duo perform covers from the 50's to the present day in their own folk-funk style, with an emphasis on making a song their own. They also have a varied rep of original music and continue to create new tracks. They are made up of Jack (lead guitar and backing vocals) and Sophie (lead singer, backing guitar and keys), they are a highly versatile and eccentric offering for any entertainment event.

We need a performance space for 2 people and floor space for a small pedal board. We require 2 plug sockets and 1 parking space. We will provide all other necessary equipment
We need to know directions to help us find the venue and the place to load in. If applicable we will need to know sound check times
Yes, we bring our own PA system and a small set of disco lights.
We’re happy to play music before after and between our sets. The client can choose the music or we can arrange a simple playlist.

We are influenced by artists such as Aretha Franklin and David Bowie. We draw from 70’s Funk and Soul, and love creating our own music - Bob Dylan’s lyrics are what we aspire to
We arrive around 1 hour before the performance and usually perform 2x 45 minute sets. We’re happy to play longer or shorter if preferred.
Yes we’re happy to play outside as long as it’s level and shaded with power supply
We can learn specific songs or genres for our clients if necessary and with enough prior notice. We encourage clients to pick from our repertoire or we can have a conversation with them to curate a set list together.
