Riff Green is a songwriter based in Venice, Italy. After some years of experience as singer and guitarist in several bands, in 2020 he started performing as solo artist, often backed up by supporting musicians. His original songs are influenced by American roots music (blues, country, folk and soul) as well as British pop-rock from the 60's and 70's. Over the last couple years, he's been active in the local scene, playing several festivals all around the Veneto region (Sherwood Festival, Intervalli, Venezia Suona...), and opening for other artists like Mark Geary, Tommaso Mantelli, Sule Heitner and Radiofiera.

I started gigging when I was 16 with my first band, mostly getting into local contests and being an active part in the organization of events, that is dealing directly with venue owners. To this day, I did over a hundred concerts thanks to networking.
My main influences are certainly Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Bruce Springsteen and 1980's U2.
I don't have a favorite artist but I stand with Rolling Stones' view that Like a Rolling Stone is the most important song of all time.
I normally arrive 1.5 hours before the gig if I'm performing solo, 2.5-3 hours if with a band.
I normally perform from 40 mins up to 2.5 hours when solo, 1 up to 2 hours with a band.
I can easily adapt the setlist according to the venue's and the organizers' needs.

We can learn one or two specific songs before the event, although the performance mostly consists in a set repertoire of original songs and some covers.
