Best Venue: performing before and after funeral service at the White House.
Best Gig: 3-Day performance with Richmond Symphony as guest artist. Orkney Wedding, with Sunrise by Peter Maxwell Davies.
My favorite type of gig is a small church service where I play Prelude, processional, hymns, and postlude on Scottish small pipes.
I played 20 years at the Maryland Renaissance Festival between 1976- 1996; processionals, stage shows, dances, weddings and busking.
GS MacLellan, John MacDonald, AC/DC, just kidding.
I arrive on site 45 min. before a performance to check in, review the music with client, change to Scottish attire, tune instruments.
I perform mostly outdoors. However, I play the small pipes indoors.
I am happy to send my current set lists out to clients. Almost everything I play can be found on YouTube.
I have over 200 reviews on line, all are fantastic. I am happy to share my reviews with my clients before hiring me.
