MARK who originally hails from the tiny caribbean island of Barbados, has been a professional recording
artist, producer and musician for several years. He has garnered international recognition throughout his
music career not only as a singer and dynamic stage performer but also as a songwriter .
Mark grew up performing at various events with his family and studied music while attending The
Alleyne School in rural St. Andrew Barbados as a teenager. At the age of 21 he won the MSC Award for
Male Vocalist of the Year as front man for Barbadian music group Promise and later went on to become
keyboardist/ vocalist of top Caribbean soca group Krosfyah.
Mark signed his first recording contract with Nashville independent label Gotee Records in 1996 with
reggae group Christafari and his group went on to debut at #7 on Billboard reggae Charts as well as
selling over 200,000 copies of their Valley of Decision album worldwide. In 1998 due to business and
creative differences in the group, the majority of the band ( including Mark) went on to form the band
Temple Yard which also debuted at # 8 on Billboard Reggae Charts worldwide with their self titled CD.
This CD received rave reviews in the music industry from both radio and print media.
In 2000 Mark relocated from Nashville Tennessee to Atlanta Georgia where within a few years he
accepted a position and eventually served for over ten years as a music and creative arts director for a
large church. There he provided mentorship, training and development to young musicians and artists.
From writing and producing theater productions to developing a music school, he is also known as a
music producer and session keyboardist, with a long list of reggae notables and collaborations with
various other artists to his credit. Major highlights of his career include
▪ being a guest artist of the Olympiads at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta
▪ performing at the US largest reggae festival “ Reggae On The River” in Humbolt CA.
▪ performing on the steps of the US Capitol to a live audience of over 300,000 people.
▪ performing at former President Bill Clinton's 1997 Inaugural New England Ball and
▪ Opening act for US leg of rock legends Petra Spring tour 1999
▪ representing the USA at the 1st Anniversary Commemoration of the US Embassy bombing in
Nairobi Kenya
▪ Opening act for reggae legends Jimmy Cliff and Inner Circle
▪ headlining hiphop stage @ Festival United, Vsetin Czech Republic

Mark has spent the last few years performing classic hiphop and DnB underground as his alter ego Rokstedy.
He recently released his sophomore album entitled Flamethrower which was mostly produced by Slovak
beatmakers. Mark also works extensively as a pianist/ singer on various luxury cruise liners and venues around the
world. He performs everything from classic Elton john and Billy Joel to modern pop as well as crooner classics. He has just completed his first coffee table book of poetry called The Danube Emotives with
Slovak photographer Peter Stin.
