Classic rock, classic pop rock covers and original music with ambient, instrumental and acoustic sections. Most songs have vocals | $400 (USD) |
I hit the stage with an extremely versatile repertoire of classic radio hits that are instantly recognizable. I weave in and around these tunes with energetic, well-seasoned originals. The sound is well balanced along with the stage show, giving a classic, retro vibe that is usually very well received by audiences big or small. Amidst the full band sound are the ambient musical moments adrift with the audience and the more intimate acoustic moments with just the voice and a guitar or piano. All music, lyrics and vocals are tastefully delivered in the most professional way possible. "Part of the delivery is being comfortable with the vocals and the instrument that I'm playing on any given song. For most songs it's either the guitar or the bass guitar. Switching instruments becomes part of a sort of stage show technique, being comfortable with what you're performing on each song and giving the song only what it needs... no more, no less." In the present show that I have, cover genres are classic rock, classic pop rock, covering groups like Journey, Fleetwood Mac, Gerry Rafferty, Bob Seger, Boston, Super Tramp, Led Zeppelin, The Moody Blues and others. Originals are more across the board, some with a jazz, folk rock, or even country crossover flare to them. You might even hear a dance beat from time to time. I perform and pre-record all of the instrument and vocal backing tracks that make up my "backing band" as I call it, and this gives the act the real band sound because I don't use midi files. No click needed, and no pitch correction on the vocals. It's all old school baby. I do use a looper from time to time though and the occasional electronic drum kit. Because of the shear energy required to set up and perform a solo show like this, I prefer two hours or less. But, I will consider the occasional three or four hour gig.
