Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

I’ve recorded for artists which is always fun, but the most fun I’ve had is playing by myself on streets when I feel bored!

What's your favourite type of event?

I love playing for recording sessions and weddings. I love seeing people smiling and dancing to my music having a good time!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I started gigging in highschool for school performances and I found my love for performing whenever asked, I’ve played weddings and live shows for artists, as well as studio sessions.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I’ve been most inspired by Grover Washington jr. And bill withers, they work so well together in “Just the Two of Us” and their style of soul and rnb make me want to play like Grover.

Do you record covers?

Yes, all the mp3s I added are covered entirely by me on every instrument. The only mp3 that isn’t a cover is “dance my dear” which is a saxophone quartet that I rewrote onto different instruments and recorded.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I typically arrive a an hour or two before the performance for setup and sound checking. I’m typically available for teardown as well.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Outside performances are perfectly fine as long as I have a mic to play into and speakers to come out of with a level surface.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Clients absolutely have a say in what I play as long as I get a list beforehand and I confirm the songs I’m able to learn.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

People would describe me as a very passionate and smooth saxophonist.

Can you improvise?

Yes, just about any song with a key I can improvise to as long as it doesn’t get too insanely complicated with lots of key changes. I can match vibes of songs and base my style around that.

Can you learn songs

As long as I have a good time frame to learn them and really engrave them into my brain yes.
