Thanks for reaching out and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! The 6-person Ruby party & events band would love to provide the live musical entertainment at your wedding and make it a party remembered forever.
Our band specializes in a dual approach, entertaining the 25-40 yr old (bride+groom generation) and 45 to 65+ (their parents' generation!). We also have up to 2 hours of elegant cocktail/ jazz/ lounge songs to choose from so that we can provide live music during any or all of the parts of the program: Ceremony/ Processional; Cocktail Hour; Dinner; Reception. However we find that recorded background music is best during the Dinner. Our basic price quote assumes a total of 3.5 hours of live music with some breaks, with us being present at the venue for 5 hours. Then we could play Cocktail Hour, break during Dinner, then play Reception Party.
You may be familiar with some of our 3 lead singers:
- Maddy Hudson was a contestant on American Idol for several episodes and successfully auditioned for Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr. to be accepted for the show.
- Journey Day Rhorer is also a steady solo performer in Napa Valley, and has performed regularly at Napa and Sonoma Valley wineries and hotels.
- Brooks Lundy is also in a Police/ Sting tribute band, playing the part of Sting; and is in a Pink Floyd tribute band.
Our diverse songlist is attached. Because we have 2 guitars, 3 lead singers (male & female), and keyboards and we can do a wider variety of songs with more authenticity than many other bands. Our brochure and song list is attached.
We are well know for being great onstage entertainers, providing Master of Ceremony Services, and working early and often with the family and with your wedding planner to ensure a smooth fun wedding event.

(1) we need to arrive 3.5 hours before our first song. We do a 40-min sound check that starts 1 hour 15 mins before first song.
(2) after the performance 1.75 hours is needed for breakdown and load out.
(3) we need a performance area at least 20 ft. wide x 12 ft deep, or at least 18 feet wide x 14 ft deep. Larger is preferred.
(4) if outdoors and there is any chance or rain, we require a canopy be provided that extends at least 3 ft beyond all edges of the performance area.
(5) two separate 20-amp circuits, or three separate 15-amp circuits are needed for electricity. "Separate" means they are on separate circuit breakers at the electrical panel.
(6) we need 8 dedicated or reserved parking spaces.
