Sandy & Band is a Chennai-based music ensemble that has been instrumental in popularizing progressive rock, delivering an immersive and unforgettable listening experience for its audience. Known for our unique approach to reinterpreting songs to match listeners’ tastes, the band brings joy to people of all ages.
Founded by drummer Sandy Sarath on June 15, 2017, the band has its roots in humble beginnings, with Sandy performing on small stages. With over a decade of experience in the music industry, the band gradually expanded, earning opportunities to perform at lavish weddings, corporate gatherings, and international concerts. Driven by a passion for exploring new musical styles while staying true to our cultural heritage, Sandy & Band has carved a niche for itself as one of Chennai’s standout music bands.

We had the privilege of performing at a prestigious event hosted by one of the leading industries, TVS, in front of an audience of over 6,500 people.
We love playing at all sorts of events but Weddings are our Fav..!!
We began gigging during our college days, and our performances evolved from there. Since then, we’ve played at hundreds of weddings, parties, and events nationwide.

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 and half hours. But we’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
We have our own set lists. Also we do perform the audience choice too.
