Alan Shapiro, also known as Sapiens, is an electronic producer and a DJ on the international, underground scene of deep hypnotic techno and progtech house. Based in Tel Aviv, he has gained wide popularity due to his complex, fascinating, versatile and harmonious mixing technique. His live performances and DJ sets combine versatile electronics genres, deep bass, dynamic groove, rhythmic drive and background vocal accompaniment. The combination of all this creates original pumping themes for any dance floor in a club or in the open-air venue.
Alan has been releasing original music since 2012 on European and American record labels such as ICONYC, Pangea, Baroque, Suffused, Stellar Fountain, Particles to name a few. He has more than 50 releases , mini-albums, singles, Eps, compilations, as well as collaborative works with leading producers such as Inkfish, Sean McClellan and others. His music and remixes are supported by famous music giants such as Cid Inc, Sasha, Edu Imbernon, Barry Jamieson, Ben Coda, Sezer Uysal, Antony Papa, Darin Epsilon, Dousk and others. His original themes are remixed by genre masters such as Inkfish, Michael A, Tuxedo, James Monroe and Rick Pierre O'Neill. Played almost in every club and venue in Tel Aviv and Israel, as well as in Germany, Baltic Countries and NYC.
Alan is a resident of several urban and outdoor underground techno / deep lines such as : ADHD Sessions, DownDeep, Amnesia, Phaza and more and he established his new side project SharpEar, focused on merging classic Brooklyn, Soulful, Deep House with Jazzy Funky Groove elements.

None of the above. It comes from the interaction between me and a dance floor, yet I come with prepared in advanced material and an arsenal pf music there is always a compulsory part from my repertoire and I leave some freedom of choice depending on a vibe and energies on the dance floor.
