Magic is theatre! This interactive act is designed to actively engage the room. Audience members are encouraged to interact and participate in every routine along with the master showman himself - Sharpo!

The show begins with a powerful demonstration of doing the impossible. Evoking the incomparable Harry Houdini, Sharpo is shackled into stainless steel escape cuffs by audience members. He is then padlocked in with two master locks. All items have been examined by the audience. This routine is not only mystifying but also hysterically funny! A nod to Edgar Allen Poe: Sharpo tells a tale of love lost between “Edgar” and “Lenore”. He displays a finger ring that is locked up tight on a 4 digit combination lock. It is passed around the audience to be examined. In order for Edgar to free himself for his tortured prison of love he needs the help of three kind strangers. Audience volunteers are chosen to assist and in a most bizarre occurrence of mystifying mentalism the correct combination is unveiled!

The book test is a famous classic in mentalism and Sharpo miraculously “Sees” through the eyes of his audience volunteer, the words on the page selected of the book they have chosen!

The Ring and the Rope. Using a large stainless steel ring and a piece of rope or shoelace, Sharpo performs miracles that defy explanation. The theme of this piece of theatre is the eternal nature of the circle and the finite frailty of the rope. The question posed is: Is there a link between the finite and the infinite? This dazzler leaves the audience believing that there is always more than meets the eye in this precious space we call “reality”.

As the mind is the most powerful machine in all of creation Sharpo closes out his act with a demonstration of instant recall using a pack of thoroughly shuffled playing cards. Performing feats that haven’t been witnessed since the days of Berglas, Sharpo continuously and instantly finds any card named by a spectator. The act comes full circle as he is blindfolded and placed in another diabolical restraint and placed several feet from the card table. A spectator draws each card in succession. Sharpo has instantly memorized the entire deck and he proves this by successfully naming each card drawn - all while making his daring escape. Nothing is more mystifying than being right there - mere inches from where the impossible happens! Sharpo’s table act begins with a thoroughly shuffled deck of playing cards. Take note: These aren’t just card tricks! The cards are a conduit. This is theatre. This is poetry. This is a delightful dance with Lady Luck - Up close and in the hands of the spectators. Conducted by the master showman, Sharpo!

Many mystifying miracles of the mind are demonstrated seamlessly along with invisible sleights and deceptions - yet the real magic is in the shared experience and interactive excitement.

Here are just a few of the impossible routines from this time tested and audience acclaimed table act: (I recently performed this exact act to standing room at the world famous magic castle close up gallery)

The shuffled cards are spread face down on the table. A spectator selects a card and commits it to memory. It is lost into the pack and shuffled some more. With a flick of the wrist the card pops out of the deck onto the table in front of the spectator. The cards are then spread face up and somehow restored to new deck order!

After a card is selected by the volunteer, Sharpo produces a packet of blank cards that visibly become chosen cards right before the eyes of the beholders in Sharpo’s Big Money Prediction routine.

Blank cards are proven to have photographic qualities as they retain images from spectator selections in Sharpo’s superb handling of a Columbini classic.

You have heard of the Three Card Monte. Sharpo takes it further with his own “Full Deck Monte” where ‘the red lady’ along with two indifferent cards are moved around the table and also... the rest of the deck! This confounding routine has several phases that become increasingly more astounding with a kicker ending that is simply impossible to explain.
