Shawn Edwards Professional DJ with over 20 years of experience

Born and raised in Chicago, IL Shawn began his DJ career at the young age of 13, as a mobile DJ. Shawn and a long-time friend opened their very own mobile DJ company, which lasted over 4 years. At the age of 17, Shawn began working for one of the biggest mobile DJ companies in the Northwest Suburbs of Illinois.

While working for the mobile DJ company, Shawn got the opportunity to demo ESO mixers, an Italian pro audio company, at the 2000 Atlantic City Mobile DJ Convention. Shawn was also the DJ for WKSC FM Chicago, Kiss FM Mobile Party Unit. Shawn was performing at everything from high school dances to weddings and corporate events to spinning on stage, in front of thousands, at the Kiss FM concerts held at the Rosemont Theater, IL, and The House Of Blues Chicago.

In late 2001 Shawn got the break he was looking for when he met one of the owners of the Midwest's hottest and biggest young adult dance club, Zero Gravity. He was offered to come to perform at their 2001 New Years' Eve party. Without hesitation, Shawn accepted and was soon offered the position as a weekly resident DJ, at a club he had always aspired to be a part of.

While holding his weekly residency at the teen club, Shawn also performed at various events, concerts, and teen clubs in the midwest. He released over a dozen mix compilations that were very well received.
Along with his weekly DJ residencies, Shawn worked and continues to work with some of Chicago's biggest promoters and at some of Chicago's biggest events, lounges, bars, and nightclubs.

A list that spans over 20 years and continues to grow on a daily basis, Shawn has performed at every major nightclub, lounge, bar, and event in and around the Chicagoland area. Shawn has also performed in various cities and states all across the country including; Las Vegas, Detroit, Des Moines, Orlando, New York, Los Angeles, Palm Beach, Lake Geneva, Milwaukee, Indiana, Southern Illinois, Eastern Illinois, and Western Illinois.

In 2004 Shawn went on a 22-week national tour with 'Pepsi Smash' and in 2005 he went on a 20-week national tour with 'VH1 Save The Music featuring Angel Faith'. Opening for countless artists and performing for hundreds of thousands of people nationwide, a truly unforgettable experience!
